2507 stainless steel is a ferritic-austenitic duplex stainless steel, also known as super duplex stainless steel.

The composition includes 25Cr-7Ni-4Mo-0.27N. Due to its high chromium and molybdenum content, this steel grade has excellent resistance to corrosion, crevice corrosion and fatigue.
Physical properties:
The tensile strength of 2507 stainless steel is usually more than 50% higher than that of traditional austenitic stainless steel, and it can resist corrosion in acidic, alkaline and chloride environments. It is especially suitable for seawater environments and chemical media containing chloride ions.
The mechanical performance requirements are relatively high, with a tensile strength of ≥800MPa, a yield strength of ≥550MPa, and an elongation of ≥15%. The hardness value is generally ≤290HBW.
Application:
2507 stainless steel is widely used in the oil and gas industry, offshore oil platforms, petrochemical equipment, desalination equipment, mechanical and structural components that require high strength and high corrosion resistance, and fuel (waste) gas purification equipment and other fields.
In addition, as the solid solution temperature of this stainless steel increases, the tensile strength and yield strength will gradually decrease, and the elongation will also slowly decrease. When the solid solution temperature is 1050°C, 2507 duplex stainless steel has better corrosion resistance.
